Adventure Voyage #1
San Francisco to Los Angeles
Designed for youth ages 15 to 19
On this 400 mile learning adventure along the California coast we will round Point Conception and stop in the Channel Islands and historic California ports as time and weather permit. Participants will join in all aspects of ship board life and operations from navigation, setting sail, standing watch and keeping the ship clean and running well. Plus learn about marine ecology, science and history. Seaward’s professional sailors and educators will make this a safe and dynamic learning experience that the young sailors will not forget.

Adventure Voyage #2
Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas
On this true sea voyage, we will experience changes and latitudes and attitudes as we sail a 1000 miles south along the Baja California Coast and leave the rains and winter behind in our wake. Whales and dolphins will be our companions on this pristine passage. We will anchor off Elephant Seal beach on Cedros Island, visit Magdalena Bay, and San Ignacio Lagoon protected whale breading grounds and stop at remote beaches for walks and shelling.

Cabo San Lucas to Puerto Vallarta
The 350 mile sea voyage begins with a two day passage to Isla Isabella, a marine preserve of nesting Blue footed Boobies and graceful Frigate birds. The snorkeling is spectacular off a beautiful beach that is surrounded by breaching whales. Leaving Isabella we reach to the mainland’s lush Gold Coast with more fantastic beaches, small fishing villages and great hiking opportunities in tropical jungles. Following the coast we enter Bahia Banderas, the worlds largest bay with an ideal climate and brisk afternoon winds. A short sail in the bay can bring us many great destinations before we arrive in Puerto Vallarta, a world class city.

Adventure Voyage #4
Puerto Vallarta south to Manzanillo
After exploring Banderas Bay we round Cabo Correntos and set sail down wind for one of the best cruising areas Mexico has to offer. On this 300 mile sail, we will explore undeveloped bays, endless beaches, and small uninhabited islands. The waters here are warm with day time air temperatures in the mid 80’s and low 70’s at night. Put that together with no rain during the winter and you have the ideal sailing climate. Some of the stops along the way include Islas Maritas, Chamela Bay, Bahia Tenataticia, Barra De Navidad and the famous Las Hadas Hotel Marina. Some really great seafood restaurants will be found on the beaches a few steps from where we land our shore boats. While not a large city Manzanillo is a major port with the old world grace of Mexico. The town square next the water buzzes with life as evening comes and everyone comes together to take in the cool air and socialize.

Manzanillo to Puerto Vallarta
On the return sail north to Puerto Vallarta, the same great destinations await us; Bahia Navidad, Bahia Tenataticia, Chamela Bay and much more. On trips between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo we will have one night sail and 4 to 6 hour sails each day and to learn the ropes.. There will be plenty of time to explore, swim and hike in hidden out of the way anchorages.

Puerto Vallarta coastal return to Puerto Vallarta
From Puerto Vallarta we will set sail to explore Banderas Bay, the largest bay in the world that offers many beautiful anchorages Punta Dimita. Yalapa, the Islas Maritas and more. Plus, we will see Humpbacks breaching along the coast. Manichen Bay near historic San Blas offers boat excursions into the jungle Plus we will anchor off Chucala a small fishing village with great beach restaurants and hiking trails . All the while enjoying one the best climates the world has to offer. There will be time to learn new sailing skills, navigation and what it is like to cruise Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta to Isla Isabela return Puerto Vallarta
From Puerto Vallarta we will set sail to explore Banderas Bay, the largest bay in the world that offers many beautiful anchorages Punta Dimita. Yalapa, the Islas Maritas and more. Adventure Voyage #8
Puerto Vallarta to San Francisco
Join in a true ocean passage of almost 1500 miles as we follow the clipper routes north through several changes of latitudes, attitudes and weather. We estimate is a 17 day passage home. This can be a challenging sail at times, with many changes in climate and wind and sea conditions. Yet, most days the weather is good and we learn to adapt and become part of the rhythm of the sea. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn celestial navigation, good seamanship camaraderie with the crew and to experience the sense of completion and accomplishment that awaits every sailor at the end of the journey.
